Alkaline Forming Foods Help You Stay Healthy and Fit

There’s too much attention on alkaline diet plans these days. These interests are not misplaced owing to the importance of maintaining the healthy pH level of our bodies. Acidity is responsible for giving us almost all the diseases and illnesses that we suffer during our entire lifetime such as cancer, high blood pressure, and diabetes just to name a few. An acidic body is an ideal climate for harboring pathogens and increasing their number. Sometimes they’re called oxidants or free radicals. There’s nothing deadlier than they when they’re left unchecked. And they can be found anywhere in the environment, like the pollutants that surround us. They’re also in the food that we eat, especially if you’re a smoker or consume a lot of alcoholic drinks.

Finding the Best Phlebotomy Classes Online

Before I talk about how to find the best phlebotomy classes online, I want to mention a few things about phlebotomy training in general. Practicing phlebotomy in the US may or may not require a certification; the states dispense their own laws to this effect. One can become a phlebotomist, a professional who practices phlebotomy, without taking certification exams.

A phlebotomist’s job is to extract blood in varying quantity for various purposes. They’re considered highly capable of carrying out the procedure. For venous and arterial bloods to be withdrawn from the body, blood vessels have to be cut or punctured. The procedure may seem easy, but just like any medical procedure it requires a lot of training and relies much more on just skills. Good training begets discipline, and without it, the technique may be abused.

The field of phlebotomy still has many available job opportunities.  The compensation is the industry standard and has regular working hours, although you may have to work in shifts. It’s not difficult to get training if you want to become one. Classes usually take 4 months to finish depending on availability. A high school diploma or equivalent certification is required before you can enroll in phlebotomy courses.

Does Alkaline Water for Weight Loss Really Mean Anything?

With all the high fat and high sugar food being eaten, obesity is a common problem afflicting people today. So much so that many strategies and marketing schemes have come out to entice people to try out their weight loss products. One of these is alkaline or ionized water. No doubt you’ve heard of it as this “superior” form of water also helps control high blood pressure, diabetes, joint pains and a lot of other health conditions. And chances are someone has already been to your house trying to sell you some pH drops or an alkalizing machine.

What is Alkaline Water?

So what exactly is alkaline water and what are these alkaline water benefits people speak of? Well basically it is just water except that it has more hydroxide (OH-) ions making it more basic than ordinary water, which more often than not is neutral (pH of 7). It can be made by adding alkalizing minerals, like pH drops or powders, or processing water in a machine that splits up H20 to H+ and OH-. By creating ionized alkaline water, it is purported that it is more efficient in cleaning out toxins and maintaining health. And that it also helps the body absorbed more nutrients neutralize acid and boost the body’s metabolism to help you shed the pounds.
